After almost three decades of photographing babies, I created the Stepping Stone Journey to preserve every beautiful chapter of your baby’s first year.
Rather than capturing just one moment, we preserve the beautiful story of your baby’s first year.
Together, we’ll create a handcrafted album that grows with your family and becomes something your children will one day hold in their own hands.
Because these photographs were never meant to live on a USB.
They were always meant to be held, shared and loved for generations.
Once you’ve booked your journey, everything else is taken care of.
Together we’ll plan your session, chat about styling and locations, and answer any questions you have before the day arrives.
After each session, we’ll meet for your personalised viewing appointment where you’ll see your photographs for the first time and choose your favourite images and artwork.
From there, I’ll lovingly prepare your handcrafted keepsakes so your family’s story can be enjoyed for generations.

After each milestone, you’ll meet with me for your personalised viewing appointment, where you’ll see your photographs for the first time and choose what feels right for your family.

Your Questions, Answered

For newborn sessions, I recommend booking during your pregnancy. I’ll reserve a tentative date approximately two weeks after your due date, and once your baby arrives, we’ll simply adjust the session date if needed.
For families on the Stepping Stone Journey, your sitting milestone is usually photographed around 6–8 months, once your baby is confidently sitting unaided, and your walking milestone is usually captured around 12–15 months, when those first little steps begin.
Every baby develops at their own pace, so there’s no need to worry about exact dates. We’ll simply schedule each session when the time feels right.

My collections have been thoughtfully designed to include both beautiful printed artwork and your digital images because I truly believe your family’s story deserves to be enjoyed beyond a screen.
For over 20 years, I’ve been personally printing every family’s photographs in my studio. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is watching your images come to life as they’re lovingly printed, then carefully prepared for you to hold, frame and enjoy in your home.
It’s what I’ve become known for, and it’s a tradition I’m incredibly proud to continue. While digital images are wonderful for sharing, there’s something truly special about holding your family’s story in your hands.

The later milestones are all about letting your little one explore, play and simply be themselves.
Our Kurrajong acreage becomes their little adventure—wandering through the gardens, picking flowers, meeting friendly farm animals, watching ducklings and lambs in spring, collecting leaves, spotting kangaroos, and taking those unforgettable first steps through nature.
Every season brings something different, making each visit beautifully unique and creating memories just as special as the photographs themselves.

Absolutely. The Stepping Stone Journey is all about celebrating your growing family.
Siblings are always encouraged to be part of each session, and parents naturally feature throughout the journey too. Grandparents are also more than welcome to join if you’d like to capture this special season across generations.
These photographs become even more meaningful with time, and there’s something truly beautiful about preserving the people who are part of your baby’s story from the very beginning.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourselves.
I generally recommend soft, neutral and earthy tones that complement the natural surroundings beautifully. Rather than everyone wearing the exact same colour, choose colours that sit well together and reflect your family’s personality.
Flowing dresses, natural fabrics and simple textures photograph beautifully, while avoiding large logos, busy patterns and bright neon colours helps keep the focus on your connection.
Most importantly, wear something you feel confident in. When you feel comfortable, it always shines through in your photographs.

Don’t worry ~ we’ll keep an eye on the weather together.
Newborn sessions almost always go ahead, as we have beautiful undercover spaces and can often step outside between showers for a few photographs. It rarely rains continuously for the entire session.
For sitting and walking milestones, a little drizzle can actually add to the adventure. Some families love bringing gumboots and splashing through puddles, while others prefer to wait for sunshine.
On the morning of your session, I’ll check the local forecast and rainfall closely. If the weather isn’t looking suitable, we’ll simply reschedule to another date that works for us both.
The goal is always the same ~ to create beautiful photographs while making the experience relaxed and enjoyable for your family.

While the Stepping Stone Journey is my signature experience and the option most families choose, you’re more than welcome to book an individual maternity, newborn, sitting or walking session.
Many families love documenting their baby’s entire first year, while others simply wish to capture one special milestone. Whatever feels right for your family, I’ll help you create beautiful, timeless photographs you’ll treasure for years to come.
